Welcome
From Pastor Andra Cunningham
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Thank you for visiting Anderson Chapel AME’s website. Here at Anderson Chapel, we are empowered by Holy Spirit to preach, teach and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We come together in a spirit of unity to serve those in our community and beyond.
Our Mission
Anderson Chapel AME Church’s mission is to impact the lives of residents residing in the more rural areas of Pitt County and beyond. We make a difference by empowering residents to live better lives and to meaningfully contribute to their families, their church and their community. Anderson Chapel promotes the quality of life of those in need through the provision of resources.
Our Vision
The vision of Anderson Chapel AME, after collaboration with residents, church members and the community, is to assess needs, then develop and implement a strategic plan that will result in a successful and thriving church community. This will include the fair and compassionate treatment of all with love.
What We Believe
Our Affirmation of Faith…
[We] believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only son our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead; and buried. The third day he arose from the dead’ he ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. [We] believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

Lord and they work to bring Glory to His name. They
embrace their call to ministry as a lifestyle and introduce others to Christ.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
